House Night

So we went to Hancock Tower for House Night this past Wednesday. We had decided that we would go to eat at a place at the top of the Tower, that way we could see the city from above. Fun, right? Well, there are two eating establishments at the top of Hancock Tower, one called a restaurant and the other called a lounge. We figured, being on a budget, it made more sense to go to the lounge. We just wanted appetizer and dessert type things anyway. When we were given a menu, we discovered that the appetizers and such were a minimum of $10. So we decided to split things. We'd get one appetizer and one dessert and share it. The waitress comes to take our order and we tell her what we want, and then she asks, "And what else?" We tell her we don't want anything else and she tells us that we have to order one item per person. And then she asks to see our ID's. We tell her that we aren't buying alcohol, and she tells us that we have to show ID to stay in the lounge. The thing is, not all of us are 21. So we tell her that we can't show ID, and that we weren't told that we needed ID when we were seated. She tells us that we have to leave.

We went downstairs to the Cheesecake Factory. A place where they'll let you share and be under 21. Amazing. We split three slices between the five of us. While we were waiting for the cheesecake we noticed that we were sitting in house order: the downstairs people on one side, the upstairs people on the other. And in room order too: left to right corresponding with front to back of the house. We are such creatures of habit. There's a picture (see below) and typical of amateur photography, the only part of my body in it is my arm.

We took a bus back to a train station and while we were waiting for the Pink Line we saw an old man who looked exactly like Einstein sitting on a bench across the tracks. We were sad that we didn't get to talk to him, but Einstein needed to get to Linden, apparently. On the train, Jody and I were talking, and Jenny took this gem of a photo:

So...caption contest. What do you think we were talking about?
